TickerEye ("the app") lets you track stock and crypto markets. We care about your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
Data we collect
- Account information: your email address and name (provided by Apple or Google when you sign in).
- Profile: a profile photo and username you choose (for the TickTalk social feed).
- Usage content: the watchlists, portfolios, price alerts and TickTalk posts/replies you create.
- Device pairing: when setting up TickerEye hardware, the app communicates with your device over your local network / Bluetooth (this data stays on your phone).
- Technical data: a device token for notifications (APNs) and basic diagnostic/error information.
How we use your data
- To create your account and keep you signed in.
- To sync your watchlists, portfolios and alerts across your devices.
- To run the TickTalk community and moderation (reviewing reported content).
- To send notifications for price alerts and important events.
We do not sell your data. The app contains no advertising or ad-tracking SDKs.
Third-party services
- Apple / Google: sign-in (authentication).
- Financial Modeling Prep (FMP): market price data provider.
- Google Gemini: TickAI analysis content (AI-generated, not investment advice).
- Apple Push Notification service (APNs): notification delivery.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app: Account > Edit Profile > Delete Account.
Security
Data is transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Your session token is stored securely on your device only.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Not investment advice
TickerEye is not a brokerage; no trading occurs in the app. Prices may be delayed and the information (including AI content) is not investment advice.
