This Exchange Traded Commodity (ETC), identified as the RICI EnhancedSM Industrial Metals (ER) Index EUR Hedge ETC, offers investors a way to gain exposure to the industrial metals sector. It closely follows the RICI Enhanced Industrial Metals (EUR Hedged) Index, which is composed of futures contracts for major industrial metals like copper, aluminum, zinc, lead, nickel, and tin. A sophisticated, rules-based "enhanced" roll methodology is employed within the index to maximize roll returns from these futures markets. The ETC aims to synthetically mirror the total return performance of its underlying index, while simultaneously hedging its currency exposure into euros. This euro-hedging mechanism is designed to mitigate the influence of exchange rate movements between the U.S. dollar—the common currency for many commodity quotes—and the euro on the final investment returns.
